The cost of a monument depends upon the size, type of granite, finish, and design of your selection. If you are not certain of the type of memorial you are permitted, we will call the cemetery and determine that for you. While it is best to visit in person for an accurate quotation, we would be happy to provide an estimate over the phone.
Granite is a natural material that is nearly as hard as diamond. Granite has existed for tens of thousands of years in various deposits around the world. The biggest difference among granites is the color. They typically range from very light gray to nearly pure black, with many colors in between. Some have very fine grain, while others have larger grain. Still others have brilliant streaks of different colors running through them.
Very simply, the best granite is the one you like. We all have different tastes and preferences, and this is reflected in the many different types of granites and designs seen in every cemetery. The technical differences between granites are best left to a geologist. All monument-grade granites are similarly resilient and will remain intact for generations to come. Your granite memorial will never wear out, “powderize”, or crumble due to natural defect. If it does, our warranty assures you of a full replacement. We have made thousands of monuments over the years. We have never had to replace a single one due to defect in the granite or workmanship.
In a word, no. This is little more than a ploy to justify overpriced monuments. Regrettably, some monument retailers resort to misleading sales pitches and deception to gain your business. These tactics include false claims of “exclusive” granites, “branded” products, rehearsed sales pitches, and even making disparaging remarks about their competitors. You should exercise caution when encountering these types of retailers.

Yes, but not a great one. We have our own setters and setting trucks, and so we work year round. As long as the foundation is clear of snow and ice, and the surrounding ground conditions are not hazardous, we can set your monument at any time.
We all know the old adage: “You get what you pay for”. This is as true with monuments as with any other business. In fact, if you compare, you will find that many “discount” stores aren’t really that much less. In many cases they charge more! They hope that the lure of a bargain will keep you from looking around. Don’t be fooled. Our emphasis is on quality of product and service, at a competitive, fair and honest price.
As a family owned, local business, our reputation is everything. Through dedication to our craft, superior value, and unmatched personal service, we have developed a well-earned reputation for fairness and quality. Indeed, we are often called upon by cemeteries for both monument and floral work. Perhaps most importantly, we build relationships with our families. Many of our monument customers become lifelong floral customers, particularly when they see the beautiful cemetery plantings we do. Our floral customers, already aware of our expertise and service, call on us when a memorial need arises.
